SHEMHAMPHORASCH by mistertrece SHEMHAMPHORASCH by mistertrece
Aerosol spray on canvas, kleenex, 2 coffee, 3 cigarettes. OST: JEDI MIND TRICKS "Desing In Malice" [link]

IF YOU WANT TO WATCH IT WITH A BETTER QUALITY check this out [link]

The Shemhamphorasch is a corruption of the Hebrew term Shem ha-Mephorash (שם המפורש), which was used in tannaitic times to refer to the Tetragrammaton. In early Kabbalah the term was used to designate sometimes a seventy-two Letter name for God.

Members who belong to the Church of Satan sign letters and emails and conduct rituals with the word 'Shemhamforash', although their version of it is different and contains 72 names of demons, not names of angels or God.

The word "Shemhamforash" is spoken in Church of Satan rituals, often followed by "Hail Satan!", as outlined in The Satanic Bible by Anton Szandor LaVey.

In art the Shemhamphorasch can be seen on the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel. Michelangelo's fresco has an architectural design of 24 columns. On each of these columns are two cherubs, which are mirror imaged on the adjoining column totaling 48 cherubs figures. Then on the 12 triangular spandrels flanking the ceiling borders are an additional 24 nude figures (two bronze nude figures per triangular spandrel) also mirroring imaging each other.
This totals to 72 cherub figures or the 72 angels of God or names of God. This spread of 48 cherubs and 24 bronze nude figures coincides perfectly with the reading of the three verses in Exodus 14:19-21. Beneath this cycle of angels are 7 prophets and 5 Sibylline oracles, which are patterned after the Zodiac/Calendar year.
Beneath that are the 33 ancestors of Christ plus 3 additional symbols denoting the 36 decans of the Zodiac. It is interesting to note that the Zodiac/Calendar year and the 36 decans coupled with the numerical sequence in the Empyream (nine central panels) on the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel denote the spread of the 56 Minor Arcana Tarot Cards.

According to European magical tradition, King Solomon is said to have evoked seventy-two demons, confined them in a bronze vessel sealed by magic symbols, and obliged them to work for him (this belief is also derived from the Apocryphal work, "The Testament of Solomon", in which demons were brought to Solomon and he forced them to build Solomon's Temple through the use of magic rings). These demons are catalogued in various magical grimoires, most notably in the Lemegeton, which gives descriptions of their powers, appearance and manner, as well as instructions for controlling them.

Based on the opinions of some who seek to find consistency of this association with the Shemhamphorasch, these demons may be sigils based on the reversing of the three lettered names of the angels. Using the reverse names and sigils, one would be able to call on the various demons for various favors which may result in destructive events.

This was further fleshed out in the Golden Dawn's Book T, which was renamed Liber 78 by Aleister Crowley when he published it in his occult periodical The Equinox. In the system promulgated by the Golden Dawn and Crowley, 36 pairs of angels (or "deacons") are each given rulership of a 10-degree segment of the Zodiac, and to these are mapped the number cards (excluding aces) from the four suits.

Um... yeah. It's kind of sad that people associate that jewish rubbish with Satanism. It's complete corruption, and you cannot uncorrupt it.

Oh my, I've had so much fun reading all the hate comments on here :giggle: I hate how people jump to judgemental conclusions without any information whatsoever. Did they even bother to read the description??? I don't know how you've managed to stay so calm. I would've told someone to go fuck themselves by now...

Anywho, I love the depiction of good and evil in this one. And I love that you take the time to objectively analyse touchy subjects, and that you keep such an open mind about such things. I hope others take lead from your example.

Well, why i should be bother about? Ive the right to paint whatever i want, and that people have the right to express whatever they feel.
I mean, i know if a paint that stuff, it can bother some people, but thats why i add the texts, to explain it. If they dont read it, is their problem not mine.
You know, if you like the orange juice and i think orange juice is disgusting, it can bother you? :D Thats how it feels to me.

Anyway, i had 1500 pageviews, 150 favs and 60 comments the first day i submit this one. Only 4 or 5 "bad" comments. And this one was chosen as " Daily Inspiration" on Shadowness.com.
What more can i say? :D

The inner good and evil.
I think bible uses to many words only to confuse people, when the meaning is very simple.
There is good and bad inside all of us. Even Christ couldn't escape from his evil self.
I love your work little bro.

"God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God." 2 Corinthians 5:21

Translation: Jesus was sinless, He took the sin of the world upon himself to pay the fine for our transgressions, so we are made clean.

"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." John 3:16

Take care, and God bless you Kelly, hope you have a great day! :D

I don't mean to start a big discussion on this mans art page. :P

It worked as God planned. "From that time on Jesus began to explain to his disciples that he must go to Jerusalem and suffer many things at the hands of the elders, chief priests and teachers of the law, and that he must be killed and on the third day be raised to life." Matthew 16:21

Jesus knew what had to take place, He knew He had to suffer, to take what was justly ours and pay our fine if full. Why? Because Jesus loves you. You're worth dying for. Even for those that hated and denied Him; they spit in his face, whipped and tortured Him, yet He loves them anyway.

"No one takes it from me, but I lay it down of my own accord. I have authority to lay it down and authority to take it up again. This command I received from my Father." John 10:18

This life was not taken, He freely laid it down for those he loved, for you and I and everyone reading this.

"Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends." John 15:13

Take care Kelly, hope that helps. :D

Also, may I ask your religious affiliation, if any? Your tolerance and patience towards all of the more ignorant or hostile commentators is astounding, I'd never be able to handle such a thing, especially from a religious aspect!

I dont have religious affiliation, i can understand people think im satanist but i painted christian martyrs and saint too, and im not christian.
All my art is full of symbols and texts, religious or occult, but all of that are things i like to read and understand. Ancient cultures, myths, religions, paranormal world... Why tolerance? I believe in freedom of speech. Simple. Anyway, i can understand if people can be hurted, but if theyve a mature argument, i respect it. To be honest, i appreciate it, because when that things happens, i feel im on the right way.
So thank you so much for your words!

The word is victimized, you know, some people need it to feel better, like the girl who sent me a text of muslim pride and told me that she knows im a mason because i have some works with a triangle and the 13 stuff... Delirious.
Im dealing with this things since i started to paint, first was the graffiti writers, after that " satanists" who thought im a Christian artists, christians who thought im a satanist...
So i know how to deal with it, is funny. Sometimes you can have a great conversation, sometimes is like to talk with a robot. But the 90% i ignore it, is a dead end dialogue.

I can understand if you feel offended, but if you read the text, is not a religios attack of whatever the people think. The image is a metaphor of the word SHEMHAMPHORASCH.
Michelangelo painted it too. Im not Michelangelo, of course, but i think he wasnt attack nobody, and he did it in the Sistine Chapel.
People just see the inverted cross ( Catholics use this cross as a symbol of humility and unworthiness in comparison to Jesus) or the red eyes, but theres more than meet the eye. Thank you so much for the comment!
